[ad_1]

The United Auto Employees introduced Friday that it might develop its strike at Ford and Normal Motors to incorporate one other 7,000 employees.

UAW President Shawn Fain advised members in a Fb Stay broadcast that the union had “momentum” in discussions with Stellantis, so it might not develop its strike at that automaker. Stellantis is the proprietor of the Dodge and Jeep manufacturers.

“Sadly, despite our willingness to bargain, Ford and GM have refused to make meaningful progress,” Fain mentioned.

Fain referred to as on employees at Ford’s Chicago Meeting Plant in Illinois and GM’s Lansing Delta facility in Michigan to stroll out at midday Friday.

This can be a growing story. Please test again for updates.
